My kids love smoothies, they ask for them almost every day. We often make a range of flavours depending on what we have in the house at the time and when we are at the supermarket I make sure we top up on ingredients that can easily be used in smoothies. One of the benefits of making smoothies rather than juicing is that they keep all their fibre so not only do they use fewer ingredients, smoothies are also healthier and more filling. They are also a great way to get extra fruit and veges into kids, especially those that are on the fussier side.
If your kids aren’t used to smoothies, you may need to start them out smaller with flavours they love and are used to, and as both you and they get more confident you can start expanding your flavours and what you add to them. Plus, it never hurts to have a classic smoothie recipe or two to fall back on
